Template talk:Checkbox

One of the things I'd like to do in the future is: determine how to rewrite the checkbox template to include passing the label of the checkbox as a parameter.

Then the checkbox could generate with the tick, a non-breaking space and the label with the appropriate formatting to indicate a Gramps GUI element.

At the same time, the current graphical representations on selected & deselected checkboxes renders poorly on my smartphone. The Unicode symbols render more nicely.

Good I was about to recommend the same, using a tick and cross is much better when viewing and unambiguous. Gioto (talk) 00:50, 31 May 2020 (UTC)
Wikipedia has three templates for this Template:Checkbox_1_(simple) identical to here. and Template:Checkbox_2_(simple) which is what we want here. A third variation is also available Template:Checkbox_(colored) which combines the two using color and unicode symbol, may be use that one? Gioto (talk) 00:56, 31 May 2020 (UTC)
